Dr. Tiago Valim Angelo

Geological Applications Specialist

Tiago holds a PhD in Geological Sciences from Queen’s University (Canada). He has also completed an MSc in Geotectonics at the University of Sao Paulo and a BSc in Geology at the
University of Brasilia (Brazil).

He has a strong background in isotope geochemistry and hands-on experience with mass spectrometry.

As a Geological Applications Specialist at AXT, he focuses on developing applications for the EXUM Massbox, an innovative instrument that utilises Laser Ablation Laser Ionization Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry (LALI-TOF-MS) to advance elemental and isotopic analysis.

Tiago is fluent in English and Brazilian Portuguese.
